Simon has extensive experience working with people in diverse settings, situations and managing complex caseloads. He focuses on maximising his clients potential and gives voice to what is important for them, bringing together groups of professionals and enabling them to work together effectively. Simon gives each of his clients and their families the personal touch.
Since 1991 Simon has worked across a wide range of care and support settings before qualifying as a Social Worker in 2004. He began working as a Case Manager in 2017.
Simon specialises in working with clients with brain injuries and cognitive impairments. He is very experienced in assessing individuals and their families, supporting them to establish and sustain often complex care and support arrangements. He works alongside a range of professionals co-ordinating their input to the benefit of those he supports.
As a Case Manager Simon supports adults and children with Acquired Brain Injuries and works skilfully with both private and statutory health and social care professionals alike. He has an extensive network of reliable contacts. Securing statutory funding and provision for clients is also one of his reliable skills. Over the past 5 years, Simon has developed his experience of Special Educational Needs provision.
His past experience also includes being a Practice Educator of student Social Workers and newly qualified Social Workers. He led a Local Authority’s Assessed and Supported Year in Employment programme.
