Qualifying as an Occupational Therapist in 2006 Lara has a wide range of clinical and rehabilitative experience. Initially developing and building her knowledge in acute and community teams such as trauma orthopaedics, elderly, vascular, oncology, medical and neurology, and later working in community learning disability and challenging behaviour teams in the UK and Australia as well as acute mental health wards. This extensive experience allows Lara to understand and respond empathically to the clinical, rehabilitative and environmental needs of clients with complex conditions.
Lara has a clear understanding of the litigation process, having worked as a Rehabilitation Consultant for a leading global business insurer, which allowed her to build a strong understanding of the need for timely detailed reports with evidence-based updates and the importance of using SMART goal setting to allow the client and others involved in their support to track progress.
Lara is proactive and prides herself on having excellent problem-solving skills to support and manage both the physical and psychological issues for clients and their families when dealing with a life changing trauma.
