Kim has experience in the treatment and management of a wide range of injuries including spinal, amputees, neurological disorders, brain injury, catastrophic injury/polytrauma including gunshot injuries. She has worked in acute and high dependency/critical care settings so has experience of the management of clients who are intubated and ventilated.
Having worked in the USA, Kim had access to equipment and rehabilitation experiences that would not be available on the NHS.
She is a problem-solving team player with excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication skills helping to build trusting relationships with clients and their families to support all parties to progress a case.
Kim has completed medico-legal assessments enabling her to effectively work within time and budget parameters.
Further to working in both Health and Social Care Kim is skilled in understanding access to statutory provision to help improve clinical continuity for clients.
In all her roles, she has always elicited positive feedback from clients and family members and keeps them as reminders to guide her practice. It is of the utmost importance to her to be an advocate for client and their family members, especially when they are going through major, life-changing trauma.
