Carla is an Advanced BABICM Practitioner and rehabilitation case manager with extensive experience working with adults and their families living with catastrophic life changing injuries, including brain injury and orthopaedic injuries. Carla takes a trauma informed approach that is holistic, sensitive, and empowering. She has a strong awareness of the social and cultural factors that can impact the rehabilitation process. She provides a solution based, collaborative, and creative approach to her clients to achieve valued outcomes.
Carla has a particular interest in complex/catastrophic brain injury case management and working with adults who have cognitive communication impairments alongside physical impairments. She is highly skilled in establishing and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders within complex multi-systems. She is experienced in providing immediate needs assessments, witness statements and works on both single and joint instruction basis within the litigation process. She has a broad experience of the procurement and governance of bespoke rehabilitation and care packages.
Carla has worked within the statutory and private sector and has a long history of community volunteering with both young people and in community projects. She values the relationships with all stakeholders and always aims to communicate effectively with clients, families, multi-disciplinary teams, and external agencies.
