Belinda is a Registered Nurse (Adult) with 25 years of wide-ranging experience within the NHS including intensive care nursing at the renowned Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust.
For the past 20 years, Belinda has worked as a full-time case manager with a special interest in amputee rehabilitation, complex orthopaedic trauma, mild to moderate brain injuries and prolonged intensive care and ventilation. Belinda’s previous experience includes three years as a clinical lead providing supervision and clinical governance for a large team of case managers and four years as an expert witness providing reports on care and equipment.
Belinda has well established links with all the major private prosthetic providers. She has detailed knowledge and extensive experience in liaising with both private, NHS and statutory services to coordinate a comprehensive programme of rehabilitation for her clients. She is very experienced in coordinating discharge from hospital, implementing and managing multidisciplinary teams, focusing on promoting excellence in communication and ensuring that client’s medical, care and rehabilitation needs are met in a timely and cost efficient manner. Belinda has experience in supporting clients with property searches, adaptations and implementing care packages.
She has wide-ranging experience in vocational rehabilitation, returning clients to work in both their pre-injury employment or an alternative job if necessary, liaising directly with employers and occupational health services, ensuring that vocational assessments are instigated at the appropriate time.
