After qualifying as a physiotherapist in 2004, Beccy worked in a variety of settings within the NHS, military services, and private practice. She is proficient in treating complex conditions and managing clients with combined physical and psychological conditions.
Beccy has worked as a case manager in the UK since 2009 and specialises in working with adults with acquired brain injury, complex orthopaedic injury, and amputation. Prior to this, she worked in Vancouver, Canada where she focused on managing clients injured at work and in road traffic accidents through insurance claims, with a view to returning them to the workplace often in new or adapted roles. Beccy is experienced in addressing the psychological factors that are associated with long-term injuries and the complexities of chronic pain. She is competent in supporting clients with dual diagnoses, such as brain injury combined with mental health disorders, and is very knowledgeable about capacity assessments and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLs).
Beccy is able to work with clients who need large support teams and is competent in the recruitment, coordination, and ongoing management of care staff. She is also confident in working with residents of care homes to improve their quality of life.
Beccy is renowned for her report writing skills and has excellent knowledge of the litigation process. She has provided testimony in court.
