AI and New Technologies – Possibilities and Pitfalls

3HUB and Enable Law were delighted to host the latest in our Masterclass series: ‘AI and New Technologies – Possibilities and Pitfalls.’ Discover new ideas around the use of AI and technology in rehabilitation, alongside insights into the potential pitfalls to ensure safe and effective access.

This was a free webinar via Zoom.

We were pleased to welcome Ellis Parry and Cathy Harris who spoke on the below topics:
Ellis Parry – Director, Neumind: “Empowering Our Clients with the latest Technology. Updates on the Latest and Greatest in Healthcare Tech”.
Neumind combines technology, best clinical practices, and a deep understanding of the people they serve to help them live more independent, fulfilling, and happy lives. Ellis has a decade of personal experience as a family member and caregiver. He is obsessed with using technology to support cognition and daily-living, and has experimented with countless ideas and concepts to try and help his brother’s recovery. Ellis has a MEng and PhD in Engineering from Oxford University and was awarded Young Innovator and Next Steps Awards from Innovate UK.
and
Cathy Harris – Director, Memo: “AI: Data and its importance. A look at where AI gets its data from and what it does with yours”.
Explore how AI uses data in healthcare and rehabilitation: where it comes from, how it’s processed, and why protecting yours matters. This session demystifies AI’s relationship with information, helping professionals understand risks, opportunities, and safeguards to make informed choices for their practice and clients. Cathy Harris is the owner of Memo, a specialist proofreading and editing service that works closely with case managers, rehabilitation professionals, and medical service providers. With a background in teaching English (BA, PGCE) and over a decade of experience shaping high-quality writing, she combines deep linguistic expertise with rigorous attention to detail. As business owner, Cathy is passionate not only about clarity and precision in language, but also about leveraging new technologies to support professional communication. She is actively exploring how tools like AI (e.g. generative text models, editing assistants) can be integrated responsibly – enhancing efficiency without compromising accuracy or ethics.
